Fair fees for HVAC maintenance
Contacted Pelle for HVAC maintenance on a Friday and got an appointment scheduled for the following Monday. The technician Paul showed up within the window of appointment and did the health check of the system. All is well and was done within one hour. I feel the fees charged were fair. Thank you Pelle.

Not a Joy with Service Champions
My wife and I have lived in Naglee Park in San Jose since 2002. When our attic furnace gave out in 2015, we contracted Service Champions to install a new furnace. Not only was that furnace built a number of years earlier, but a couple of the Service Champions staff who did the follow-up inspections of our HVAC system were not only unprofessional but actually connected some of the wiring incorrectly, which to their credit was finally repaired.
When the original air conditioner gave out in 2021, we inquired at Service Champions about a replacement; the price they quoted seemed excessive, so we contacted Pelle - a family-owned HVAC company, and not only did they have a carrier model but it was exactly the slim version we needed for our space and at a fraction of the cost. Since then, Pelle has done the inspections of both our AC and furnace, and everyone from that company with whom we have dealt has been professional, highly competent, friendly, communicative, and an absolute joy. When our furnace gives up the ghost, we will definitely call Pelle for the replacement.
It pays to deal with a smaller, family-run company like Pelle rather than a huge, corporate company if you want the type of service we all desire.
